What’s Next and What Matters

by Lee Buford on February 23, 2011

Winning and losing are shaped by attitude. Sure, talent matters. Resources matter. Teamwork matters. But inevitably adversity and challenge rears its ugly head, and the person with the right moxie is going to prevail.

It’s that “thing” that separates the great from the average or good. It’s the ability to forget what just happened and focus on what’s next. It’s the ability to see and execute what matters, when it counts.

The best golfers on tour don’t hit two bad shots in a row. The great quarterbacks don’t remember the interception on the last throw. And, for the great teams, one loss doesn’t become two.

The great ones see what’s next and what matters. And they do that.

What do you see?
