Potential is a word synonymous with possibility…both good and bad. In most cases I think we associate potential with hope, with thoughts and ideas of what “could be” in the best-case scenario.

Potential is leveraged in our society on a daily basis. Products are sold on it. Stocks are purchased on it. Professional athletes are drafted and paid on it. You and I were hired on it. We place great value on it, and we are willing to pay for it. The fact is we love potential…especially our own!

But potential is so much deeper than we often consider. We all have it. We were born with it, and for a purpose…His purpose:

10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. – Ephesians 2:10 – ESV

He created and gifted you according to His purpose for your life…

  • for good works
  • for His glory
  • for the advancement of His kingdom

How has he gifted you, that you might be used to glorify Him? Are you leveraging those gifts to reach your potential?

What is your potential?
