What Do You Think About God?

by Lee Buford on March 28, 2011

What do you think about God? What comes to your mind when you think about God? Not in a general sense, but in a serious, thoughtful sense…what do you think of when you think about God?

It matters. In fact, it really matters more than you may think.

A. W. Tozer said it so accurately when he said,

“What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.”

The way we view God affects everything we do, even when we may not realize it.

Our view of God affects our moods, our actions, and our decisions. It affects our love for others. It affects how we serve, worship, and give. It affects how we approach life’s obstacles, curve balls, and trials. And it affects how we honor and glorify our Lord and Savior.

Take some time today, and every other day, to spend a few minutes in prayer and reflection on God’s character, His attributes, and His holiness. Rightfully seeing Him as He is means more than we can imagine, and it necessitates an appropriate response to His love, discipline, and commands. A right view of God necessitates obedience, love, and worship.

So what do you think about when you think about God? Do you have an accurate viewpoint, and what are you doing as a result?

I really wanna know If the first humans on earth were a mistake and god
created us as a better hybrid wouldn’t that make him not perfect. A
perfectionist does something and perfects it. Not questioning my God but
there’s alot of un- answered questions.
