God Keeps His Promises

God Keeps His Promises.

This simple picture hangs on my refrigerator door, courtesy of my children. I must walk past it a hundred times a day, yet every now and then it just catches my eye and I stop for a brief minute to glance and read… God keeps His promises.

Reminders of the faithfulness of God come in all shapes and forms, big and small, and each of us has our own stories we could share. We have all seen the evidences of this truth manifested in our own lives. But I try to never lose sight of the fact that simply stopping for a moment to reflect on this one statement is a tremendous encouragement to my soul, a validation of the faith and trust I place in Him.

Scripture reveals the faithfulness of God throughout, and I wrote previously on the idea of trusting without wavering, the faithfulness of God confirmed in Hebrews 10:23. While there are many we can look to, here are a couple of additional verses relative to the faithfulness of God in keeping His promises:

[20 ] For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.
(2 Corinthians 1:20 ESV)

[2 ] in hope of eternal life, which God, who never lies, promised before the ages began
(Titus 1:2 ESV)

[23 ] Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
(Hebrews 10:23 ESV)

From Abraham and Israel to you, me, and modern day America, we can rest in the truth that God is indeed faithful. Take a few minutes today to reflect on His faithfulness to you and others in your own life.

God Keeps His Promises.
