“Blogged Down”

by Lee Buford on September 20, 2011

If you’re a regular reader you’re aware that I haven’t posted in the last month or so here on the site. I’ve taken some time off… been a bit “blogged down” if you will. No specific reason other than I just felt the need to take a break.

All of us get to that point more often than we care to admit. The hustle and bustle of life’s many demands can overwhelm our abilities to keep up in a productive, healthy manner. It’s at times like this when we need to step back, unplug, and re-focus on what’s important. We’re often of little use to others when we’re in a state of burnout or fatigue, “bogged down” with too many things grasping at our last straws.

Maybe this is you. Right now. Maybe you needed to see this today. If so, take action. Put on the brakes, park the car, and don’t drive again until you’re ready for the next leg of the journey. Re-focus. Take back your life. Invest in the tings that matter most. The rest of us will be here when you’re ready to jump back in.

More importantly, you’ll be in a better frame of mind to contribute, in a better place to make a difference.

So if it’s permission you need, you’ve got it. We’ve all got it. Now go use it.
